Water Pipe Break in Downtown Duluth

A water pipe break in downtown Duluth caused some headaches for hotel guests and drivers Saturday.
Jeff Briner, general manager of the Radisson, says that a pipe was fractured in two separate places around 1 a.m. Saturday morning. The break happened On the 500 block of W Superior St. across from the Duluth Public Library.
An independent contractor was called in to repair it. The contractor had to dig up a part of Superior St. To get to the pipe.
Water was restored to the Radisson by about 5:15 p.m. The hotel was the only property affected.
