Working around the clock in subzero temperatures, Duluth crews have managed to fix a water main break in the Piedmont neighborhood that left several blocks of homes without water for more than a day.
As of Thursday morning, all impacted homes should have water.
That main broke on Tuesday night impacting:
- Adirondack Street
- Allegheny Street
- Appalachian Avenue
- Catskill Street
- Gearhart Street
- Hillcrest Drive
- Hutchinson Road
- Lower Ozark Street
- Piedmont Avenue
- Selkirk Avenue
- Springvale Road
- Tyrol Street
Thursday morning, Duluth Communication Relations Officer Daniel Fanning said crews pinpointed the cause of the leak and completed repairs.
Fanning said the cold weather caused the break. He said the city appreciates the public's patience and understanding during the inconvenience.
