Update: Victim, Driver Identified in Fatal Superior Crash

Superior police have identified the man killed in a Thursday night crash as Russell Putnam, 82.
The accident happened at 5:29 p.m. at the corner of North 28th Street and Hill Avenue. Putnam was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by Irene Putnam, 80, of Superior that collided with a semi-truck. Irene Putnam was injured in the crash and was listed in fair condition Friday.
Police say the Putnam vehicle made a left turn onto North 28th Street in front of the semi-truck, which was travelling southbound on Hill Avenue. The department said there is no indication that either alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
