Representative Tom Anzelc, of Balsam Township, said on Thursday that he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
When reached at home, Anzelc said the doctors told him that the cancer is treatable.
He told us he is undergoing treatment in Duluth and the Twin Cities.
"I'm not feeling 100%. I'm having some fatigue. But I'm hoping to continue service to my constituents. I will be representing the people in my district as best I can," he added.
Anzelc was there for the swearing-in and first day work on Tuesday in St. Paul.
The 66-year-old lawmaker is in his 4th term.
