The Bentleyville Tour of Lights in Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park ended Wednesday with a fireworks display and a day of ice skating.
The City of Duluth organized the 13th annual "Warmer by the Lake" celebration to help mark the final day of Bentleyville.
"Bentleyville has been running for 40 days and it's a nice way to end the Christmas holiday," said City of Duluth Public Information Coordinator, Amy Norris. "Kids are off, so what better thing to do then to grab your skates and come on down here."
Beginning in the early afternoon, families were invited to Bayfront Festival Park for ice skating, marshmallow roasting, hot chocolate, and a bonfire.
"I heard that they were having skating and music and fireworks for the last night of Bentleyville so I said 'hey, we better go, it's nice out and who knows if we'll have another nice day,'" said Amber Dean of Duluth.
The fireworks display lit up the Bayfront for families to enjoy in the early evening. Then at 9 p.m., Bentleyville's lights were shut off for the final time this season. Last week, the City announced Bentleyville would stay in Bayfront Festival Park for three more years.
