A 17-year-old juvenile male is in custody, and a Duluth man is recovering at Essentia Health St. Mary's after being stabbed Thursday night, according to the police department.
Authorities say a 54-year-old man was found on the 10 block of North 65th Avenue West around 8:45 with a stab wound to his stomach.
Initial investigation revealed the victim had confronted a juvenile male who was driving a snowmobile in the alley behind his house, according to a news release. It goes on to say friends of the juvenile came out of a nearby garage and the victim swung an object at one of them before he was stabbed.
The 17-year-old male is being held at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center pending formal charges of 2nd Degree Assault, according to police.
