Opulent Ice Lounge to Bring the Fire

November's already cold temperatures are making for good ice bar weather at Little Angie's Cantina and Grill in Duluth.
Progress at their second annual Opulent Ice Bar & Lounge in Canal Park is already underway. The tent on the restaurant's patio was up on Monday afternoon.
Manger Aaron Haugen said, based on progress now, the ice bar is expected to open for the season on December 7 with a theme of fire and ice.
Haugen said the Opulent Fire and Ice Bar and Lounge will feature the work of an ice artist who will make the outdoor bar come to life. And they're hoping for a longer run at it this season as well.
"We didn't get a great run at it last year," Haugen said.
Warm weather in 2011 caused the bar to close for a time. Workers packed it with dry ice to preserve the sculptures before temperatures dropped again.
