Cloquet hasn't lost a game since the season opener. Seniors Kaleb Kadelbach and Thomas Udenberg have been through it all with this team and are happy to see the pieces falling together.
"We're just playing good as a team, passing the ball quick, running the ball well, the line is blocking well, we're just playing all around good football," says Kadelbach, who plays wide receiver.
"I think depth is huge this year. you can just look at the bench and see how much guys are into it because they keep getting called in," says Udenberg, who plays on the offensive and defensive lines.
Head Coach Tom Lenarz is pleased with where they are, but is even more excited to see where they can go.
"We still have a ways to go. and that's fine. there's still a lot of football left in the season and the kids get that. they want to get better each week. that's fun for me as a coach," says Lenarz.
The Lumberjacks are really committed to success this season. In addition to afternoons spent here on the practice field, they're putting in even more time in the weight room and studying film.
"You can definitely feel it on the field makes you play a lot better, it shows too," says senior linebacker Danny Ritchie.
When faced with adversity, quarterback Sean Kedrowski knows the Lumberjacks will band together to achieve a common goal. "We all know what each other can do and we all believe in each other. We're all confident in each other to get it done," says Kedrowski.
The Lumberjacks schedule doesn't get any easier, so the extra effort may become even more critical in the coming weeks.
