Police Arrest Man Suspected of Abducting 3 Kids

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) - A 19-year-old man could be charged with kidnapping and other felonies for taking three young children from a Fond du Lac home.
Officers were chasing the Fond du Lac man in the Milwaukee suburb of Menomonee Falls when he crashed his sport utility vehicle Monday night. The man tried to run away but was arrested.
The children, ages 3, 4 and 5, were found in the SUV. Police say they were taken to a Milwaukee hospital for treatment.
Fond du Lac police were called by Oshkosh police shortly after 5 p.m. about a man wanted for a domestic battery in Oshkosh. At about the same time, police received an abandoned 911 call from a home in Fond du Lac.
Police determined the suspect in the Oshkosh incident had abducted three children whose mother was the domestic battery victim.
