Taste of the Northland: Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna

Recipe for Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna.

Ingredients

 - 4-6 oz. tuna steaks

- ¼ cup sesame seeds

- ¼ cup black sesame seeds

- 4 oz. soy sauce

- 1 cup spinach

- 2 tbls.

Sesame ginger dressing Wasabi Dressing:

- 4 cups yogurt

- 2 tbls. Wasabi

- ¼ cup honey

- 2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Place soy sauce in small bowl. Spread sesame seeds out on plate. Coat the tuna steaks with soy sauce, then press into sesame seeds. Heat olive oil in sauté pan over high heat until very hot. Place steaks in the pan, and sear for about 30 seconds on each side. Let the tuna rest before slicing. Toss spinach with wasabi dressing (mix yogurt, wasabi, honey and salt). Place the sliced tuna on bed of spinach and drizzle sesame dressing on top. Enjoy.
