  • Superior's Only Movie Theater to Close

    Marcus Theatres announced Wednesday that the Superior Value Cinema will close after evening showtimes on Sunday, Dec. 6.  The theater's ten employees have been offered jobs at theaters in Duluth and Hermantown.

  • Minnesota Driver Uninjured in Ontario Train Collision, Fire

    A Minnesota man was not injured when the fuel truck he was driving collided with a freight train and caught fire just over the Ontario border on Wednesday morning.  Ontario Provincial Police say a train collided with a fuel truck in Barwick just before 7:30 a.m.

  • Average Gas Price Under $2 in Duluth as Thanksgiving Approaches

    The national average is currently under $2.06, down from $2.14 last week. By Thanksgiving, it's projected to be the cheapest since 2009. In Duluth, the average is $1.99, which is 22 cents less than last week. This time last year, average gas prices were 80 cents more. 

  • Duluth Police Officer Charged with Domestic Assault

    A Duluth police officer was charged on Tuesday after an alleged domestic assault. Todd Ronald Kuusisto, 37, an 11-year veteran in the department, has been cited for misdemeanor fifth degree domestic assault.     

  • 3 in Custody after Shootings Near Minneapolis Protest

    Police in Minneapolis say they have arrested a second man in the overnight shootings of five Black Lives Matters protesters. None of the protesters suffered life-threatening injuries during Monday night's shooting.
