"I heard loud noises, and saw guns drawn, and was told to stay in the house. My daughters were terrified," said Julie Eberl. "It's pretty shocking. It's a quiet neighborhood. You never think this will happen here. I hope it stays safe, and I'm glad the authorities are doing something about it," said Scott Fairbanks. The house searched was at 226 S. 56th Avenue West. Neighbors saw heavily armed investigators storm the property around 6pm. A fence was knocked down. The street was blocked off at that point. Investigators discovered just over 200 marijuana plants, and some evidence of methamphetamine use. Investigators estimated the marijuana was worth more than $80,000. The St. Louis County Sheriff's department confirmed that two people were taken into custody on Tuesday night. Another suspect turned himself in. |
