Berarducci had been crossing First Avenue, to get to Amelia's Family Cuisine for a church banquet.

She underwent surgery Wednesday afternoon.

"Who hits an 82-year-old and takes off? I know there's two sides to every story, but I am upset that the driver left," said Robin Berarducci-Jensen, Irene's daughter.

The owner of Amelia's said that many are shattered this happened.

"We have people networking everywhere, to find any information," said Melissa Sundvall.
