UMD Awarded NSIC Title Trophy
It took a lot of work for UMD to win the NSIC and their hard work was awarded. The Bulldogs gathered Thursday afternoon before practice at Malosky Stadium. NSIC commissioner Butch Raymond handed over the much deserved NSIC Chamoinship plaque.
The NSIC title came down to the final game of the season for UMD. They defeated Winona State last Saturday to win their second straight conference championship. The Bulldogs also needed Mankato to lose to St. Cloud, which they did.
The reigning national champions have won 20 straight NSIC games. They finished a perfect 10-0 in conference play. They're preparing now for an NCAA tournament game on November 20th at home.
