Mitten Man in Virginia

Clayton Stoll is a retired truck driver, who loves to knit.

"I've been knitting for 40 years. I was poor growing up, and didn't have mittens. So now, if I can help one kid's hands be warm, my dream will have come true," he said while knitting in Virginia on Wednesday.

Stoll learned that some children at the Parkview Learning Center in Virginia come to school without gloves. So he decided to knit mittens for them.

He's been doing this for several years. On Wednesday, he brought over his latest batch for the kids.

"Until my hands can't move anymore, I'll be knitting for those kids," he said with a smile.

The classes gave him a basket of yarn, so he can keep going. He already has started on next year's mittens.
