#18 UMD Beats #12 C.C. 4-3

Hermantown native Kyle Schmidt scored the game winning goal with under five minutes left to secure UMD a 4-3 win at 12th ranked Colorado College Friday night. The 18th ranked Bulldogs trailed 3-2 ater two periods. Travis Oleksuk tied the game half way through the third.

UMD jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Brady Lamb and Mike Seidel. The Tigers made it 2-1 going into the first intermission and scored twice in the second to take a 3-2 lead.

The Bulldogs handed the Tigers their first WCHA loss of the season. UMD improves to 6-2-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the WCHA. The team face off again Saturday night in Colorado Springs.
