Guilty Plea in Duluth 2008 Homicide
Spencie Walker, 22, entered a "guilty plea" on Thursday morning. Police say he shot and killed Stanley Boody, 35, in a Central Hillside apartment during a drug deal that went bad on June 14, 2008
The charge is Murder in the Second Degree While Committing a Robbery.
Police say the crime happened at 227 W. 3rd Street. According to the criminal complaint, Walker pulled out a .35 Caliber handgun during the marijuana drug deal, and told the group he was going to rob them. The complaint says there was a struggle between Boody and Walker, and during that, two shots were fired. One struck Walker in the chest, the other hit boody. He died at during surgery at St. Mary's Hospital.
Walker was hospitalized for his injury for about a week, and arrested when he was released. He
will be sentenced November 30th.
