Updated at: 11/05/2009 5:14 PM Charges for Major Marijuana Operation
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Department said they found over $100-thousand dollars worth of the drug, at a home at 3669 Haines Road. Authorities describe the scene as a large and intricate drug grow operation, that included nearly 400 plants. Three men and two young children were at the home at the time of the bust. Two of the man, Matthew Blank and Michael King, were arraigned on drug charges on Thursday afternoon. According to authorities, the men admitted they grew the marijuana to pay bills. The children at the home were King's. He faces a child endangerment charge, on top of the drug felonies. Both men were denied public defenders, because of their incomes levels.
