Updated at: 11/03/2009 9:57 AM Charges Against Former Edgewood Vista WorkerKaela Pospeck, 27, has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of 5th degree assault. She used to work at the Edgewood Vista Assisted Living Facility in Virginia. In August, Virginia police began investigating allegations of abuse at Edgewood Vista, which came to light after a Minnesota Department of Health report was released. Three workers, including Pospeck, were fired after those allegations were revealed. Police said in their reports that there is evidence to prove that Pospeck hit two residents, one in the mouth and the other in the chest. Their investigation did not bring to light evidence that the other two women did anything criminal. Allegations from the Health Department included residents being called names and told to "shut up," along with being hit with rubber balls and water noodles. Pospeck will be in court, on November 20th.
