Company Files Federal Lawsuit Against Essar
A Michigan-based transmission line company has filed a federal lawsuit against Essar Steel Minnesota.
Great Lakes Gas Transmission said it entered into a contract with the project when it was called Minnesota Steel.
The contract states Great Lakes Gas will provide a way to get natural gas to the site, starting this year and ending in 2024.
According to the lawsuit, Essar owes Great Lakes Gas over a half a million dollars.
Court documents said that Essar told the company, they don't intend to honor the contract.
