Flu Absences Close Wisconsin School

Hurley School District in Hurley, Wisconsin will be closed and all activities cancelled on Monday and Tuesday. Superintendent Chris Patritto says it's a result of high absences. Roughly 30-percent of their student body out sick as of last week.

Patritto said the district has been working with the Iron County Health Department for weeks, and made the decision to close the building on Saturday night.

The K-12 school, which has roughly 630 students, will re-open Wednesday. During the period in which it's closed, Patritto says it will undergo a thorough sanitation.
