UMD Picks up Sweep Over Clarkson

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - Minnesota-Duluth scored four times on the power play on Friday, beating Clarkson 4-2 to sweep their men's college hockey series.

The Bulldogs (5-2-1), who won 4-1 on Friday, were 4-for-13 on the power play. The Golden Knights (2-4-1) were just 1-for-8.

Brandon DeFazio's goal 20 seconds into the game for Clarkson was the only goal with the teams at even strength. Rob Bordson tied it for Duluth at 10:48 of the first. That was followed by power-play goals from Brady Lamb, Mike Connolly and Mike Seidel for the Bulldogs and Mark Boroweicki for the Knights.

Brady Hjelle had 20 saves for UMD and Paul Karpowich had 40 for Clarkson.
