Another is in custody, and a third suspect is on the run. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the three attempted to rob the Dairyland State Bank in Exeland at 2:30 yesterday afternoon. The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been made public, but Lt. Jeff Lorentz of the State Patrol says one man was arrested, another fled on foot, and a third took off in a car. Police chased that car to an area west of the town of Bruce, in Rusk County, where that suspect was shot to death. His name has not been released. Lt. Lorentz says he doesn't know if a police officer or a sheriff's deputy shot the suspect, but Lorentz says it was not a state trooper. He says there has been a string of bank robberies in that area, but he didn't know if they were connected. Police say the suspect still at large is considered to be "armed and dangerous." He may be driving a green 2001 Ford F-150 with Wisconsin license plate ET9636. The truck is listed as stolen from Rusk County.
