Nose to Nose at the Zoo

Eyewitness News photojournalist Carl Sauer got to take a rare look inside the Lake Superior Zoo.  From the glamorous to the dirty, Sauer spent time with the workers who get up-close and personal with the animals.

Behind the scenes, it's hard work. But rewarding as well.

Winter Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Last admission is 3:00 pm, and buildings close at 3:45 pm.

Summer Hours 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (Summer Hours will be starting on May 29th, 2010)

Open 7 days a week, year round. Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
