Replacing Vikings' Winfield

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - While Antoine Winfield continues to rehab his injured foot in hopes of playing against the Packers, the Minnesota Vikings feel a lot better about the players they have to replace him if he can't go.

Karl Paymah, Asher Allen and Benny Sapp formed a three-man committee to replace the Pro Bowl cornerback against the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend. They helped hold Hines Ward to one catch for 3 yards and contained Ben Roethlisberger to 175 yards passing.

The Vikings lost the game 27-17, but came away knowing that Paymah, Allen and Sapp are capable of filling in.
