Sundew Sale Approved

The federal government has approved the sale of the retired USCG Cutter Sundew, to Jeff Foster.

Foster, of Jeff Foster Trucking, bid on the retired vessel for around $100,000.

Because the Sundew used to be federal property, the government needed to approve the sale.

The approval has come down, according to Dan Russell, Executive Director of the DECC.

The DECC has been running the Sundew as a tourist attraction since 2004.
