Iron Range Resources is hoping another movie will be filmed on the Iron Range.

The movie is called "The Convincer." If the Range is picked, production and shooting could begin in February, and last about three months.

The company wants to film an insurance office, farm house, bank, casino, and lake.

Iron Range Resources approved a $150,000 rebate today, to make our region more attractive to the production company.

The board also OK'd almost three million dollars in loans, for an expansion at Minnesota Twist Drill. The Chisholm company hopes to double its workforce, and develop its own private label for drill bits.

A few other things on the agenda, money for Range colleges, to develop more programs to train workers for major projects like Mesabi Nugget, PolyMet, and Essar Steel.

The board also approved incentives for mining companies who are doing exploratory drilling in the area.
