Morneau Done for Season

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire began his press conference Monday night with disappointing news. Justin Morneau will not play for the Twins for the remainder of the 2009 season. Morneau has a stress fracture in his back.

Morneau is hitting .274 with 30 home runs and 100 RBI.

Gardenhire says Morneau has been playing with a sore back for some time now. Surgery will not be needed. It'll take him about three months to heal.
