Barb Mcdaniel and Bea Laakonen don't have a lot of experience on a kayak. They're 69-years young and took part in the UWS community kayak day at Barker's Island. Joel Peterson runs the first year program every Monday in Superior. "I think it's great they're out here, those two ladies are here every week, they're just excited to be out here," said Peterson. Barb and Bea are proving at 69 anything is possible. "You're still able to do it, you're oas young as you feel," said Barb. She said she feels about 45. "You're only going to live so long I have some goals to make this is one of them," said Bea. The other goals are fly a plane and jump out of fun. For now, they're on the water with others who share the same interest. "What we want to do is build a community of paddlers regardless of ability, regardless of age anything like that, just get out and enjoy this beautiful lake together," said Peterson.Check another one off the list for the young at heart.
