Many of you have taken a walk across the new Highway 53 bridge, and checked out the views of the Rouchleau Pit.

And now, you can do it with your neighbors, at the Community Walk Across the Bridge.

According to the Iron Range Tourism Bureau, the event will be on Saturday at 2pm. Folks will meet at the end of Chestnut Street and 1st Avenue N, and then head down the newly paved Mesabi Trail.

Leading the way will be Hat Trick, the dog who got stuck in the construction site, and Sen. Dave Tomassoni.

The Bureau will be giving away magnets, and will be selling Bridge Daze t-shirts.

MnDOT said their final Coffee and Conversation is set for Thursday, October 5, at 10am.

The project webcam and hotline are being shutdown on Friday.
