Volunteers donated over 6000 hours to the research behind the multi-phase project, which was designed by Gary Lundstrom. There is also a historic Erie Mining Company Hyrail car and sign.

One project team member said an exhibit like this can teach many about the area's history. "They'll see what the history was of the mining company and Erie. And if we can add more to that and get people in here, who don't know about the history, than we've done something worthwhile," said Dan Devaney.

The traveling exhibit will be around at the Depot until March 25th. Then it will be moved to other locations. Eventually, there will be a permanent display at the Depot in 2019.
