An annual event that caters to the wants and needs of women is coming up this weekend at the DECC. It's the 10th annual Women's Expo hosted by Lundeen productions.

Every year, thousands head to the convention center for entertainment and exhibits on everything from health and wellness, to pampering, to starting up a new career. Men are allowed to come to the event, but the day is truly meant for women.

"It's an incredible day," Vice President for Lundeen Productions Kynze Lundeen says. "There's over 120 exhibitors right in your hands that you can talk to and experience one on one."

Marketing Intern Liz Felton explains there is also a sense of togetherness among women at the expo.

"It's a feel good day for women. It's kind of like an empowering day for us, " she says. "A day in Duluth where we really get to com together, have a lot of community, and do a lot of things that women like to do."

New at the expo this year is the 'WomenRock' fundraiser. The fundraiser itself isn't new, but Lundeen says they decided to combine the two events as an opportunity, with the large number of attendees , to raise more money than if it were an event on its own. This part of the expo, held in Pioneer Hall, will include a fashion show, silent auction, and other fun activities. Proceeds will go to the St. Luke's Foundation.

The Women's Expo runs Saturday, Mar. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. General admission at the door is $6, but free tickets are being given out at select businesses ahead of Saturday.
