Tech Bytes: Volvo Subscription Plans, Super Mario Cereal

In today's Tech Bytes, a new spin on buying car. Volvo is taking a page from wireless companies, by offering a subscription plan. For $600 a month, you can drive the company's new SUV and all service and maintenance costs will be covered. They'll even pay for the insurance.

The Los Angeles Auto Show is kicking off with the BMW I8 Roadster Convertible. It's a plug-in hybrid that can go 18 miles without its gas engine kicking in. BMW says it goes 0 to 60 in just about four seconds. It goes on sale in the spring.

Now is your chance to really take a bite out of Super Mario. The iconic Nintendo character has a new cereal. The pieces draw on the video game, with pieces shaped like items from the mushroom kingdom.
