Tech Bytes: T-Mobile and Sprint Merging, "Smartify" Art App

In today's Tech Bytes, T- Mobile and Sprint are reportedly set to announce a merger agreement without giving up any assets. It could set the stage for a stiff anti- trust fight with government regulators. The merger would create the nation's third- largest mobile business, behind Verizon and AT&T.

Twitter's CEO says the company will become more aggressive in policing hateful and sexual tweets. The promise follows last week's "#womenboycotttwitter" protest. That began after twitter temporarily froze actress Rose McGowan's account when she tweeted about Harvey Weinstein.

Art lovers now have an informative new tool at their fingertips. The Smartify app works like Shazam, but it identifies artwork instead of music. You can scan a painting and the app quickly gives you the artist, title, and other historical info. It's already being used at dozens of museums around the world.
