Tech Bytes: iPhone Update, Samsung Teaser

In today's Tech Bytes, changes for the iPhone. Apple's next operating system will allow users to turn off a feature that slows iPhones down. It comes after Apple said previous updates slowed older phones, which they say was to prevent unexpected shutdowns due to aging batteries. Also in the update, a new "Health Records" feature that will store medical information. A dozen major hospitals are participating. Apple says the information will be encrypted for privacy. The new iOS will be available this spring.

Samsung has sent out invitations for a major event next month. It says "The Camera. Reimagined." However, a big "9" on the invitation is a hint that it's more than a camera. It's the long-awaited Galaxy S9 coming on february 25th.

Kohler is bringing Alexa into bathroom with a smart mirror. The mirror will have Amazon's virtual assistant built-in. It will play music, check your email and much more.
