Tech Bytes: Google, Facebook Threat

In today's Tech Bytes, a threat to Google and Facebook from a major advertiser. Unilever says it may pull billions in marketing unless those sites and others get rid of what it calls toxic content. It says they have become a swamp of racism, fake news, and extremism.

Amazon is in the midst of some corporate job cuts. The Seattle Times says hundreds of layoffs are underway, mainly at the retail giant's Seattle headquarters. The company's fast growth the past two years reportedly left some units over-staffed.

Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes, even a robot. The new version of Boston Dynamics' "Spot Mini" recently gave some electronic help to the original by opening a door. The head- mounted arm latched on to the handle and pulled, allowing both robots to keep on moving.
