Tech Bytes: Equifax Breach Severity, Instagram "Screen Shot"

In today's Tech Bytes, the Equifax hack is worse than originally thought. The credit reporting agency says hackers gained access to more records than it had previously admitted and more information in each of the 145 million records. Equifax first revealed the data breach five months ago.

Instagram is testing a "screenshot" warning. For select users, the new feature will notify them when someone takes a screen shot of their "story." If some takes a screenshot, you'll see a camera shutter logo next to their name in the list of story viewers.

Chinese police have a new weapon for locating fugitives. Facial- recognition units mounted on glasses. The devices are about to get a major test. They will be used next week, when hundreds of millions of Chinese are traveling for their lunar new year holiday.
