Tech Bytes: Consumer Electronics Show, Apple Store Dangers

In today's Tech Bytes, getting ready for CES. The Consumer Electronics Show kicks off in Las Vegas on January 9th. Techies believe virtual reality will have a big place at the show, especially wireless headsets. Also, car companies are expected to show off their self- driving innovations.

One device we know will be rolled out at the show, is LG's new entry into the smart home speaker market. It's called the "Thin Q" speaker. It's powered by Google "Assistant". Analysts say it's a big win for LG, over its rival, Samsung.

Remember the praise heeped on Apple's flagship store in Chicago, right after it opened. That store is getting some criticism, now that Chicago's winter has taken hold. It's surrounded by caution signs, because of falling snow and icicles. The flat roof hangs over sidewalks, which are closed.
