It focuses on Sarah, a photo journalist, and James, a foreign correspondent. They are a couple returning home from covering the war in Iraq. Sarah becomes severely injured, forcing the couple to come home to live a "normal" life.

Marketing Director for the Duluth Playhouse Ashlee Hartwig explains that this is where the drama begins.

"How can two people who live in such dangerous conditions for such a long period of time, come back and try and re-find a normal life for themselves?" Hartwig said.

The play asks some big questions that audiences can certainly relate to. Sarah and James face these head on as they return home and try and find themselves in a different setting.

While this play is labeled as a drama, there are also some comedic elements in the play.

"There are some very funny moments as well, just like in every day life. You have a serious discussion, but then funny things happen in that moment," Hartwig explains.

"Time Stands Still" hits the Duluth Playhouse main stage on Thursday and runs through June 11th.
