Vanilla Rich Chocolate Chip Cookies

3 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 1/3 cups of butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
4 tsp vanilla
1 pkg (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips or mint chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.  Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.  Add in eggs and vanilla and mix well. Gradually mix in flour on low speed.  Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Drop by rounded tablespoon at least 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly brown.  Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool.
