There's nothing quite like a 39-room mansion decked out in festive glory.
Glensheen Marketing Director Jane Pederson said it takes a full two weeks for staff to decorate the estate. They're putting up 25 Christmas trees, placing 25 elves, and laying 500 feet of garland.
Plus, guests can enjoy free hot cocoa in the Carriage House before the tour, and sample Clara Congdon's shortbread cookie recipe.
Glensheen has also shifted their mission a bit this year with more Minnesota merchandise in their gift shop, including the sota clothing mugs used on GMN Tuesday.
"A big focus is to support Minnesota through the legacy of Glensheen and the Congdon family, because they were big supporters of Minnesota craftsman," Pederson said.
Glensheen's Christmas tour season begins on Black Friday. Click here for a tour schedule and tickets.
