A beautiful Doberman mix joined us with Nicole from Animal Allies on Thursday! Cindy is two years old, and came to Animal Allies as a transfer from a different shelter.

Nicole says Cindy can be a little shy at first, but warms up well once she gets to know people.

Some of her favorite activities include playing fetch with tennis balls and exploring her surroundings. Nicole says she can get very excited at times, so some basic training is still needed.

Cindy would also do well as the only dog in a home with children ages 10 and older.

If you'd like to meet her, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-2110.

Animal Allies is also encouraging pet owners and fans of Pokémon Go to install the Walk for a Dog app, created by Wooftrax and free for Android and iPhone users. It tracks walks with pets and donates money to a shelter of the pet-owner's choice.

"You could walk in support of Animal Allies, and then the more people out walking for a certain shelter, the more money that they donate," Nicole explains.

While using the app, walkers can also catch Pokémon, take a screenshot and share it on Facebook and Instagram with #‎walkforadog and #‎PokemonDogs.

Walk for a Dog will pick their five favorite posts, and Wooftrax will donate $50 to the shelter or rescue named in the post.
