Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says this 10-month-old pup is smart for his age.

"He knows the commands for sit, stay, lay down, shake," she says.

While his intelligence could be considered beyond his years, Brannaman could still use a little bit of training. A lot of outdoor time with exercise will put his energy to good use and will also help him mellow out.

"He's got a lot of action left and a lot of love to give," she says.

The shelter in Duluth is continuing their efforts to raise money for their 'Healing Hearts and Paws' fund. Facciotto says this fund helps provide medical care and training for any special case that may come through the shelter. Click here to donate.
